London duo Graffiti6 tap into a rich vein of vintage-style soul and cleanly update it for the 21st century. On “Free,” Jamie Scott’s longing vocals sound piped in from an old-timey microphone to an AM radio, but they’re treated to lush surroundings: a gentle guitar-and-drum stomp, some wavering organs, a slick string sweep in the wide-open chorus.
