I had this opportunity to test out a product called FeverAll which is an Acetaminophen for ages ranging from six months to twelve years of age. This isn’t your average fever and pain reliever. What makes it so different is that it is in a suppository form. I know when I hear the word suppository makes me shiver. Truthfully this is the best form of medicine you could give your child when He/She is ill.
I used the 6-36 Month age range for my nephew. We used this twice during the month of March 2012 because he is teething, had a double ear infection, and had ran a fever for about a day and a half. He kept throwing up his medicine and luckily I received this in time he was running 100.8 which would fluctuate from 100 to 102.5. So I watch my nephew at nights during half of the week and he upchucks to much without even being sick he has had an acid reflux issue since he was born. During that nights diaper change I did not want to have to clean up upchuck at 2 am in the morning so I grabbed a latex glove, Which by the way I always have around because I have a son whom is disabled and in diapers bet you where wondering who carries latex gloves around? I don’t mean to get to personal but I like to tell my experience and opinion on these things. So before I strapped the new diaper on I opened the Box of FeverAll and they are all individual doses so you can not go wrong anywhere there and they are all ready to go no need for anything I inserted the suppository and the look on his face was priceless! He was in no pain or discomfort either I held his buttocks together for about 30-60 seconds to make sure everything was in it’s place and then finished putting his diaper on him. Within 15-30 minutes is fever was breaking. I really like that feverAll is in individual packets you can keep some at home and the other half in a diaper bag. You never have to worry about baby upchucking the medicine because they cant so you cant overdose nor under dose. This product is great for when your child is sick with the flu as well or will fight you tooth and nail because they refuse to take oral medicine as my son does and spits it out also he has a weak stomach so when he is sick suppository is what he gets. After all said and done I fell that this is a great product and I will continue to use it as well.
