I love the Natrols melatonin because it is all natural and completely safe for anyone of any age. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate taking pills. I take a Natrols 5mg time-released tablet about four nights out of the week. I was really excited to learn that Natrols had these in tablets that were dissoluble. I was excited because it was easier than swallowing a pill, but then again I have tried a dissoluble pill before and it tastes horrible. Thankfully these are flavored and to my surprise the flavor is really good. Too good actually these could be mistaken for candy. Great thing for me because I hate pills. Make sure you keep these up and away from small children. The time it took to dissolve was less than 60 seconds and the taste was good and I didn’t have to wash it down with water afterwards. They direct you to take one pill twenty minutes before bed. I was unsure how one pill would work because my body was use to 5mg compared to 1mg. I was positive I would not feel anything, but that 1mg packs a punch. Why did that 1mg take effect so fast? This is because it went in my blood stream and started to work immediately unlike the 5m that was in a solid pill form and slowly released the melatonin in my body. I guess big things do come in small packages after all! I finally laid down within the hour after taking the melatonin and actually slept all through the night and woke up before 5am ready to go! This is a big thing for me as I struggle with a hyperthyroid and it makes me not want to sleep, feel sluggish and hard to wake up in the mornings. So, I look forward to another restful night!

Did you know that even pets can take melatonin as well As long as there is no sweetener added even artificial sweeteners are a no go for our beloved pets. Hera our seventh month old lab has separation anxiety and constantly is up pacing at night even though she sleeps with us and besides that she is terrified of thunderstorms. You can buy chewable forms at your local pet store or  the pill form for humans works too. I use the Natrol 5mg time released tablets for Hera this only relaxes her rather than put her asleep and that is done about twice a week for her.
