Finish and Care

The natural dark sandalwood is hand finished and pretreated with tung oils. The Fieldcrest is splash-proof but should not be submerged in water (3 ATM).

Lemon or orange oil extract is best for cleaning the natural wood. When storing this timepiece, avoid extremely hot, cold, and excessively dry/humid environments.

I have a special relationship with Wood Watches by JORD. They enabled me to give my father his first Father’s Day gift from me in 47 years this year. I was home in Pennsylvania attending a funeral this year right before Father’s Day, and I presented my dad with the JORD wood watch in Natural Green and Maple. I told him, ?I?m sorry it has taken 47 years, but I want you to know I love you, and to give you this as an early Father?s Day gift.? I started to cry as I handed the beautiful stained bamboo display box to him.

He began to tear up as well, and when he opened it his eyes got a little wider and he thanked me over and over and said he loved it. Turns out, Dad collects watches (just like hubby does) and the JORD wood watch in Natural Green and Maple was one that he had never seen before. JORD Wood Watch Review and Giveaway

I like watches of all kinds and I was flabbergasted when I had stumble upon a wooden watch from JORD. Yes, a watch made out of wood! I would have never thought of wood as being something you could wear. The pictures of the timepieces on their website looked flawless and almost to perfect to be made out of wood. I desperately need to hold one of these in my hands and inspect the beauty of it all. So I choose the Fieldcrest series wood watch in black that is designed for both men and women and was the perfect size, not to big not to small and everything was clearly visible. When the watch had arrived it was packaged very carefully and in side this box laid a real unique piece on its own plush cushion. I picked up the watch and though well maybe looks can be deceiving this needs a more detailed inspection. The weight wasn’t too light nor too heavy and the grain of the wood flowed so smoothly. I also wasn’t expecting such a smooth, finishable surface. Truly the pictures of the timepieces on JORD’s website look amazing but, when you see them in person you will soon to realize the images do not do the watches any justice. I personally love this watch and think it is flawless and so does my husband. We both have worn it since it is unisex and we both have had several comments on it as well. There are a total of nineteen different timepieces for sale on JORD’s website and all have their own unique look. This definitely would make a great gift for anyone and any occasion. As of right now JORD wood watches are only available online at this time but hope to be in stores soon!
