17 pcs Coast Guard Set pictureI had the opportunity to review this 17 pc Coast Guard Set of Water Blocks from Just Think Toys.

As I opened the box I can already see the kids hovering over me like I just got done baking cookies or something . Kids were excited and ready to have some fun as was I to see how these blocks worked. They are not your average water toys or building blocks because most water toys are not made to be played with outside the tub nor are building blocks made to be played within a tub. Well to say the least these are different they can do both, be played with outside of the tub or pool and be played with outside of water. As I took all the blocks out of the packaging I gave them to my boys and they played for at least a half hour on the living room floor. While they were doing that I was running a bubble bath to test the fun in the water. We have several bath toys and as most of you know after so many baths the toys get a film or mildew on them from soap and hard water and in time you have to clean them or just throw them away. I found out that these water blocks are bacteria and mildew resistant EVA and contain no PVC or phthalates in which are extremely harmful to our loved ones. I was amazed as to how the blocks stuck together from just water and the suds gave it more of a stick. The kids thought it was the coolest thing that they could be stuck on the shower walls and build from there. There is so many ways that this set can be played and you can buy more to add on. Needless to say the kids stayed in the tub for an hour! Their little toes and hands were so pruned and it was hard to get them out of the tub. They had a blast so I guess that’s all the matters 😀 I don’t see bath times being a struggle around this house I feel they will want to jump in the tub several times a day just to play with those blocks.

Here are some images I used during this review:

Here is more information for Just Think Toys:

Coast Guard Set lets children build floating towns, bridges, towers and more in the bath and pool. The Coast Guard Boat and Helicopter add action, fun and imaginative play to the floating playscapes. Age: 4 – 99 due to small parts.
Sometimes the best toys are the simplest toys– toys with lots of open-ended possibilities that encourage young minds to think, to create and to explore.  The best of these toys provide progressive layers of challenge for children to discover as they grow.  At their very best, these toys encourage exploration, reward discovery and empower our children.WaterBlocks bring classic block play into a fun, fascinating, new, watery environment.  The bath tub and pool are the perfect places to create floating towns, bridges, towers and more.  The “sticky” viscosity of water creates a helpful cling between blocks, and the movement, buoyancy and flow of water add an engaging twist to classic block play.  WaterBlocks empower children to create their vision as they experiment with geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, balance, structure and cause-effect.
