British electronic artist Bonobo (a.k.a. Simon Green) produces heady and tuneful downtempo cuts marked by thick bass lines and a diversity of slick, slippery samples. On “Kiara,” cut-up female vocals echo over Asian strings, 8-bit synths bubble up, and a solid hip-hop breakbeat holds down the low end. It’s an expert mix and a fairly intoxicating tune.
